Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• To get daily production schedule for next day from the plant head & communicate it to workers in the daily meeting.
• To assure the production activities starts on time in the morning/night.
• To take care of production due to unavailability of employee or sanctioning leaves of workers
• To help production people to achieve the productivity by resolving the issues which may arise during production. If require get the help of plant head.
• To get approval for overtime for justified reason from plant head.
• To collect the daily production report and review, if workers not submit it ask for it and if the employee refuse to give it inform to plant head.
• To assure employee follow the safety norms.
• To enter the reports to PC on daily basis in absence of data entry operator.
• Assure presence in the morning meeting and support plant head with data which may be required
• Get the material /job checked from quality and do necessary changes as desired. Assure to get the “ok” material for the process.
• Discuss with the plant head for availability or requirement of material and coordinate with HR team for manpower requirement and ensure manpower availability at plant.
• Co-ordinate, brief the details about the operation to Sr. Operator to get the operation done. Assure his understanding, fitment of job, critical and important dimensions. Suggest and provide rough sketches for the fixtures which may be needed for improving the process. If require get help from the Plant head.
• To update the indicators defined by the organization on the notice board.
• Communicate and assure the material, tools required by operators to Plant Head & put the requisition to stores. Repair if any get approval from Plant Head and get it done to avoid production loss.
• Assure quality of the job & zero rejection in the manufacturing process.
• Assure material movement timely to avoid congestion on the shop-floor.
• To prepare documents as per requirement of ISO 9001:2015 and keep ready for the audit.
• Assure rework within minimum time.
• Motivate operator for kaizen and 5S initiative.
• To assure the material availability within time for dispatch.
• To inform the quality department for the material ready for inspection.
• Assure that the material is loaded in the vehicle properly to avoid any damage during loading unloading or during transit.
• Help in preparing skill and competency matrix. Do on the job (OJT) training and assure multiskilling of employees to avoid production failure.
• To continuously motivate workers to improve skills
• Be an active part of quality initiatives like 5S, Kaizen etc.
• Additional responsibilities as decided in the Management meeting.

Qualifications:

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / ITI Machinist or Fitter with supervisory experience.

Industry Preferred:

Pipe Industry/ Manufacturing/ Engineering
