A Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the actual production flow within the shop floor. This includes managing work distribution, tracking Plan vs. Actual performance, maintaining 5S standards, and ensuring workplace safety. The role also involves close coordination with supporting departments such as Planning, Maintenance, Quality, and Stores to ensure timely execution of production activities as per the defined schedule.
Develop and manage weekly shift schedules aligned with production forecasts, ensuring balanced shift rotation and optimal utilization of manpower across workstations.
Conduct structured shift opening meetings to communicate daily production plans, quality objectives, and safety protocols, ensuring team alignment and readiness.
Oversee real-time progress at each assembly station, proactively identifying bottlenecks and coordinating timely resolution of technical or process-related issues.
Ensure full compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, and QMS standards; lead audit preparations and effectively close non-conformities and observations with proper documentation and root cause analysis.
Collaborate with PPC, Maintenance, Quality, and Stores departments to resolve operational challenges, streamline material flow, and maintain uninterrupted production continuity.
Proficient in lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke. Promote continuous improvement through lean principles, effective utilization of equipment and workforce. Fostering autonomy of machines and equipment to enhance operational efficiency.
Facilitate team-building initiatives and skill enhancement programs to foster collaboration, growth, and high-performance culture.
Hands-on experience in electrical and electronic systems UAVs including integration, testing and troubleshooting of flight control, power generation system, datalink system etc.
Proficient in the assembly, configuration of Ground Control Stations (GCS) and Ground Data Terminals (GDT). Strong understanding of UAV datalink and communication systems including SATCOM, C-band, S/L-band, and UHF-band technologies.
Hands-on experience on UAV navigation equipment such as INS (Inertial Navigation system), GNSS (Global Navigation and Satellite System, ADU (Air Data System), Magnetometer, AIS (Aircraft Identification System) etc. Understanding of UAV automatic landing systems such as infrared (IR) landing, laser-guided landing, DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System)-based landing and real-time kinematic (RTK) navigation.
Knowledge of payload systems including Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Inverse SAR (ISAR), Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) and DAY camera, ELINT (Electronic Intelligence and COMINT (Communication Intelligence). Experienced in payload installation, configuration and fault diagnosis.
Skilled in analyzing telemetry data for fault identification and performance evaluation. Experienced in power-on testing of UAV including sensor calibration and payload configuration.
Strong ability to interpret complex assembly drawings, GD&T symbols, and technical documentation; experienced in various assembly processes including sealant application, riveting, welding, and fastener installation.
Proficient in wiring harness layout, bonding, grounding, and electrical routing. Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-600, IPC-7711/7721) to design, inspect and repair PCBs.
Strong understanding of UAV power generation architecture including alternators, rectifiers, converters, and distribution units. Experienced in diagnosing power-related faults and ensuring stable electrical supply to avionics, payloads and propulsion systems. Practical experience in managing battery workshops, including maintenance of dry & liquid batteries.
