Job Description

Job Summary:

Production and Planning Control Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning Support:

Assist in creating and maintaining production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
Work closely with production teams to ensure production targets and deadlines are met.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure material availability for production runs.
Assist in forecasting future demand based on historical trends and customer orders.

Data Entry and Reporting:
Record and update daily production performance and status reports.
Maintain production data in ERP systems and other software.
Help track production output, identifying any delays or issues that may arise.

Material Management:
Ensure that materials and components are available for production and report on any shortages.
Work with the procurement team to place material orders and track delivery schedules.

Quality Assurance Support:
Assist with tracking quality control procedures and report on any deviations from standards.
Coordinate with quality control teams to ensure that products meet specified quality standards.

Continuous Improvement:
Support the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques and process improvements.
Help identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks in production and assist with suggesting solutions.

Skills:

Basic understanding of production processes and planning.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with ERP software is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
