Job Description

As a Production Merchandiser , candidate will play a crucial role in managing the production process from inception to delivery. Will collaborate closely with design, sourcing, and production teams to ensure timely and quality execution of apparel manufacturing orders. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and monitor production timelines to ensure on-time delivery of apparel orders. Liaise with suppliers, factories, and internal teams to communicate production requirements and resolve issues. Manage production schedules, track order progress, and anticipate potential delays or bottlenecks. Conduct quality inspections and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain product standards. Negotiate pricing, timelines and terms with vendors to optimize cost efficiency and production outcomes. Prepare and analyze production reports to evaluate performance against targets and identify areas for improvement. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations and best practices to enhance production processes. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Apparel Merchandising, Textile Management, or a related field. Proven experience (4-5 years) in apparel manufacturing, with a focus on production coordination and merchandising. Strong understanding of garment construction, materials, and production techniques. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office suite and ERP software. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications: Preferably a candidate from NIFT, NIFD, PEARL or similar institutes. Familiarity with sustainability practices in apparel manufacturing. Fluency in english both written & verbal.
