Production Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Production Planning and Control

• Develop and implement production schedules.
• Allocate resources (machines, labor, materials) efficiently to Reach the Schedule on Time.
• Coordinate with the merchandising and planning for Fabric and Store Department.

2. Supervision of Production Process

• Monitor day-to-day operations in the sewing, cutting, and finishing sections.
• Co-Ordinate with outside units and Job work units.
• Troubleshoot delays and quality issues.

3. Quality Assurance

• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the production line at maker Point.
• Work closely with the quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) teams.
• Implement corrective actions to resolve defects or non-compliance.

4. Manpower Management

• Manage, floor in-charges, and machine operators at Vendor Unit.
• Organize training and skill development programs for workers.
• Motivate and maintain discipline among the workforce.

5. Coordination with Other Departments

• Liaise with:

• Merchandising

  for order details and timelines.

• Stores

  for raw material availability.

• Maintenance

  for machine readiness.

• HR

  for labor issues.

6. Cost and Waste Control

• Monitor and control production costs.
• Minimize fabric and material wastage.
• Optimize resource utilization to increase efficiency.

7. Reporting and Documentation

• Maintain production records and performance reports.
• Analyse output, rejection rates, and downtime.
• Report progress to senior management.

8. Compliance and Safety

• Ensure adherence to labor laws and safety regulations.
• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
