Production Manager Slow Fashion & Craft

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Production Manager to manage garment production for a premium slow-fashion label rooted in Indian craftsmanship and modern design.

This role is for someone who understands quality, respects artisanal work, and enjoys being closely involved in the making process from fabric sourcing to final finishing. You'll work directly with artisans, tailors, embroiderers, vendors, and the design team to ensure every piece is made with care, consistency, and intention.

What You'll Do

Production & Daily Work

• Manage garment production from sampling to final delivery
• Ensure good finishing, correct measurements, and overall quality
• Plan daily work, timelines, and production schedules
• source sampling and production materials promptly when required
• Keep production running smoothly and on time

Artisan & Team Management

• Work closely with karigars, master tailors, embroiderers, printers, and finishing units
• Guide artisans clearly on quality, timelines, and expectations
• Build long-term working relationships with workshops and craft clusters
• Solve day-to-day production issues calmly and practically

Sourcing & Costing

• Source fabrics, trims, embellishments, and production services
• Track costs and help plan budgets for each style
• Reduce wastage and help optimise costs without affecting quality
• Maintain clear records of materials and expenses

Quality Control

• Check quality at different stages of production
• Make sure consistency is maintained across pieces
• Identify issues early and fix them before they grow

Growth & Innovation

• Recruit skilled artisans and production workers as the team grows
• Explore new crafts, techniques, and artisan clusters in Jaipur and beyond
• Bring fresh ideas while respecting traditional methods

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in garment production (slow fashion, luxury, export, or craft-based brands preferred)
• Strong understanding of Indian fabrics, embroidery, and garment making
• Experience working directly with artisans and small production units
• Good sourcing and vendor-handling skills
• Organized, reliable, and good at managing time
• Strong problem-solving mindset

Language Requirements

Fluent in Hindi and English (spoken and written)
