Production Manager

Job Purpose:

To oversee and manage the entire production process of aluminium windows, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, cost efficiency, and effective team management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Execution

• Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on project requirements.
• Ensure smooth workflow from fabrication to assembly and final dispatch.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to meet timelines.
  

2. Process Management

• Supervise operations of cutting, machining, assembling, glazing, and packing of aluminium windows.
• Monitor and control production parameters such as quality, wastage, and productivity.
• Implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous process improvement.
  

3. Quality Control

• Ensure adherence to company and client quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain product accuracy and finish.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for corrective and preventive actions.
  

4. Manpower & Resource Management

• Lead and guide production supervisors, operators, and technicians.
• Plan workforce allocation and shift management.
• Identify skill gaps and arrange training programs.
  

5. Material & Inventory Management

• Ensure optimal usage of raw materials, hardware, and consumables.
• Coordinate with the purchase department for timely availability of materials.
• Minimize wastage and maintain inventory accuracy.
  

6. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols within the production floor.
• Maintain proper documentation and compliance as per company policies and statutory norms.
  

7. Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare daily and monthly production reports (output, rejection, downtime, etc.).
• Participate in production review meetings and present performance data.
  

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of aluminium window fabrication, cutting, assembly, and installation processes.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and understanding design specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and production ERP software.
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualification:

  Diploma or B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, or Production Engineering.

• Experience:

  Minimum 8–12 years in aluminium windows or faade manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
