Responsibilities

• Setting up the production line as per the product requirement keeping in mind the proper utilization of resources
• Optimize the floor space utilization and material movement
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and SAP
• Work with Quality, Supply Chain and production activities in the facility
• Initiate and implement strategic improvements for production, quality, and labour utilization throughout the facility
• Hire, Train and Evaluate the team and enhance their skill to achieve the required level of production and Quality.
• Investigate and implement innovative manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve product quality
• Identify opportunities and drive programs focusing on operational efficiency and sustainability initiatives for the site.
• Provide leadership to ensure effective utilization of plant personnel and equipment
• Collaborate with functional departments in the implementation of improvements
• Plan and coordinate manufacturing operations for production, machinery, processing, and packaging departments
• Ensure that production line schedules are accordance with facility capabilities, customer requirements, and financial planning
• Manage materials replenishment, quality standards, and performance metrics in support of organizational goals and objectives
• Monitoring of Man hours and Machine hours, tooling, consumables required for day-to-day production. Generation/Analysis of report to be made to top management
• Manage cost structures for manufacturing by keeping operational expenses within budget allowance, and investigate cost-reduction measures
• Create documentation protocols and ensure that all records of operations are properly maintained and reviewed

Required skills and qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years experience Managerial position and 3+ years in production management role.
• Proven skills in leadership and supervision
• Demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing principles
• Strong and rapid problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
