Job Summary:

The Production Incharge is responsible for managing and supervising daily production activities, ensuring the production targets are achieved with optimal quality, efficiency, and safety standards. The role includes manpower management, process improvement, and coordination with other departments to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and control production schedules to meet customer and internal requirements.
  
• Supervise production processes and ensure they operate efficiently, cost-effectively, and safely.
  
• Ensure products are produced on time and meet quality standards.
  
• Manage workforce scheduling, attendance, and training to optimize manpower utilization.
  
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all machines and equipment are functional.
  
• Maintain production reports such as daily production, rejection, downtime, and efficiency records.
  
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods; coordinate with stores/purchase teams.
  
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement timely corrective actions.
  
• Liaise with Quality Assurance/Quality Control teams to ensure product compliance.
  
• Maintain discipline, hygiene, and a safe working environment on the shop floor.
  

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
  
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing/production supervisory role.
  
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality standards.
  
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and production documents.
  
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
  
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
  
• Problem-solving attitude and ability to work under pressure.
  

Work Environment:

• Factory/Plant based.
  
• Requires standing for extended periods and frequent interaction with shop floor workers.
  
• May involve rotational shifts or overtime during peak production periods.
