Production Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production plans to meet deadlines and optimize output.

• Supervise the shift operations in the fabrication shop ensuring that production targets are

achieved efficiently and safely.

• Monitor Punching, Bending, and welding activities (related to sheet metal and structural

fabrication) to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.

• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions in the

fabrication process.

• Lead, motivate, and manage the production team to ensure a high level of productivity and

adherence to safety protocols.

• Oversee the regular maintenance and proper operation of equipment and machinery to

minimize downtime.

• Maintain accurate records of production data in ERP System, including output, downtime,

and quality reports.

• Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement.

• Conduct root cause analysis of production problems and implement corrective actions.

• Train and mentor production personnel on proper procedures and safety protocols.

• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., engineering, maintenance, quality) to optimize

production processes.

• Stay informed about and implement new technologies and best practices in manufacturing.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

• 2 to 3 years of experience in a production environment.

• Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on manual MIG/FCAW welding

processes / CNC Punching & Bending, Laser Cutting process.

• In-depth knowledge of welding standards and quality control measures.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Expertise in MS 9000, 14000, 45000, 5S, TPM, Kaizen, Problem solving tools

• Knowledge of quality control principles and techniques (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing

etc., a plus).
