Position: Production Engineer or Senior Engineer Production

Essentials

• Should be extremely conversant with rubber to metal bonding adhesive coating and finish paining processes.
• Should possess excellent process knowledge to trouble shoot adhesive coating and finish paining processes.
• Familiarity with rubber molding processes like injection molding, compression molding & transfer molding processes.

Educational Qualification

• B.E (Polymer Science / Mechanical) from a reputed institute

Experience

• 5 - 8 years of rubber / polymer industry experience from Tier 1 Industrial, Automotive industry
• Proven track record of managing and running the shift successfully
• Confident, self-driven with track record of successful accomplishments
• Ability to work closely with colleagues across the organization
• Local language Kannada (speaking) mandatory requirement.

Responsibilities

• Planning, directing, monitoring production to meet established specifications and schedules, wastage targets, quality standards.
• Liaise with technical, supply chain, quality, and maintenance department to meet the monthly schedules on time.
• Responsible for manpower allocation and equipments efficiency to meet shift targets.
• Review shift output at the end of shift and report to production in charge.
• Responsible to implement manufacturing excellence initiatives like 5S, Kaizen, SMED and TPM at workplace.
• Liaise with respective departments to address operators issues related to canteen, transportation, health and safety.
• Plan for new operators on the job training and maintain records as per ISO 9001 and ISO-14001 standards
• Responsible for operators skill development and assessment
• Responsible for operators performance review and recommend appropriate trainings to improve operators efficiency and behavior at workplace
• Liaise with respective departments to ensure machines and tool down times are minimized to meet the agreed production schedules.
