Production Designer

The Production Designer is responsible for translating approved fashion sketches and design concepts into production-ready garments. This role bridges the creative vision of the design team with the technical and operational execution of the production team, ensuring quality, timeline, and fit consistency across all orders.

• Interpret design sketches and client references into technical production files (including measurements, fabric specifications, and finishing details).
• Collaborate closely with designers, pattern masters, tailors, and embroidery teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
• Prepare and approve mockups, samples, and production dockets.
• Maintain and update production documentation, including order sheets, BOM (Bill of Materials), and measurement charts.
• Monitor and follow up on the progress of each order from sampling to final QC.
• Conduct fit trials and resolve technical challenges during sampling or bulk production.
• Suggest alternative construction techniques or material substitutes when required.
• Ensure all production aligns with brand quality standards and client expectations.
• Coordinate with vendors for fabric, trims, and embellishment sourcing when necessary.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Fashion Design / Apparel Production / Textile Technology or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in high-end custom wear or bridal/occasion wear.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern-making, and finishing.
• Good eye for detail and precision in documenting technical specifications.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple orders simultaneously under tight timelines.
• Knowledge of fabric behavior, dyeing, embroidery, and finishing processes.
• Proficiency in tech tools like Excel, Adobe Illustrator/CorelDraw, or production management software is a plus.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
