Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Translate conceptual sketches and ideas into detailed production-ready drawings and specifications.
Research and recommend appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware that align with design intent, durability, and cost targets.
Collaborate with engineers and craftsmen to develop prototypes, evaluate samples, and refine designs for mass production.
Create accurate CAD drawings, 3D models, and technical sheets for manufacturing teams.
Work closely with product designers, production managers, suppliers, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless execution.
Stay updated on furniture design trends, ergonomics, sustainability practices, and consumer preferences.
Ensure designs meet safety standards, ergonomic requirements, and sustainability guidelines.
Balance design innovation with production efficiency and budget constraints.

Preferred candidate profile:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in
Furniture Design, Interior Design, or related field
.
Proficiency in
CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
and rendering tools.
Strong knowledge of
materials, joinery techniques, and furniture manufacturing processes
.
Excellent eye for detail, aesthetics, and functionality.
Strong communication and project management skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
