Product Support Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Monitor applications to ensure smooth operations and uptime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, errors, and performance problems.
• Analyze logs and system metrics to identify root causes.
• Write and execute basic scripts for automation and support tasks.
• Handle incidents and service requests within defined SLAs.
• Coordinate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams for issue resolution.
• Support application deployments, patches, and release activities.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
• Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong understanding of application support and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with

  SQL

  and database basics
• Good knowledge of

  Linux/Unix commands

  and log analysis
• Familiarity with

  application monitoring tools

  (Splunk, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
• Basic scripting knowledge (

  Shell/Python

  ) is a plus
• Experience with

  ticketing tools

  like ServiceNow or Jira
• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work in shifts or on-call rotation (if required)
• Knowledge of

  ITIL processes

  (Incident, Problem, Change)
• Quick learner with a proactive and customer-focused approach.
