As a Product Sourcing Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the sourcing of high-quality products from both domestic and international suppliers. Your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Supplier Discovery: Conduct research to identify potential suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors both locally and globally. - Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate suppliers based on factors such as product quality, pricing, lead times, reliability, and sustainability. - Product Sourcing: Actively search for products that meet specific specifications, quality standards, and cost targets. - Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that all products sourced meet or exceed the company's standards. - Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to establish long-term partnerships. - Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and new product opportunities. - Cost Analysis: Analyze costs to identify opportunities for cost savings and optimize product pricing. Your qualifications and skills for this role should include: - 3+ years of experience in product sourcing within the Consumer Durables industry. - Previous experience in Planning and Category Management, with a preference for knowledge in P&L. - Ability to proactively identify process gaps and troubleshoot them effectively. - Capacity to perform well in fast-paced and rapidly growing environments, with the ability to work in ambiguous situations typically found in startup settings. Candidates with a background in product development and sourcing will be given preference for this position.
