Product Owner

As a Software Product Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage the software product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities. You will translate the software product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes, ensuring that products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule. You will be involved in daily scrum meetings, planning, reviews, and retrospectives, writing requirements typically as user stories and mockups. Additionally, you will assess and address technical risks and define success criteria for testing and product acceptance. Your role will also involve the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation to gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps. You will analyze potential partner relationships for the product and collaborate with the tech team to create strategies by which technology will be developed or adapted to meet market needs. Acting as a liaison between Sales, Client Services, Marketing Support, and Technology teams, you will support customer demand as part of new product development. To excel in this role, you should have at least 4 years of experience as a Software Product Manager, managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle. A good knowledge of SDLC and the ability to drive the creation and modification of key documents are essential. Being moderately technical with the ability to communicate effectively with engineers, understand product issues, and drive the team toward resolution is crucial. You should also be a subject matter expert on competitive analysis and technical challenges, with strong knowledge of web development platforms, databases, and infrastructure. Proven problem-solving capabilities, the ability to think outside the box, and working knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology are highly desired. You should be able to work well under pressure, prioritize to meet deadlines, and quickly shift priorities as necessary. Understanding best practices, staying informed about the competition, and having experience working on hierarchies (Customer, Product, Developers, UI/UX) are important. Project management skills to understand project plans will be beneficial in this role.
