Role Overview

As aProduct Owner specializing in Trade Finance and Payments

Leveraging deep domain expertise, you will bridge business, technology, and customer needs to deliver high-value products that meet regulatory standards, market trends, and competitive demands.

In this role, you will collaborate with top-tier development and product teams, experts in the Trade Finance field, to support complex client needs.

Key Responsibilities

Product Definition & Requirements Management

• Translate customer and business requirements into clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
• Ensure all product solutions comply with regulatory frameworks including

  SWIFT

  ,

  CBPR+ under ISO 20022

  and other relevant local trade or payment regulations.
• Prepare and review product documentation, testing scripts, release notes, and functional material.

Product Development & Delivery

• Lead the end-to-end product lifecyclefrom idea, requirements gathering, design, and development to launch, iteration, and end-of-life management.
• Prioritize product features using data-driven analysis and stakeholder alignment, balancing strategic value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering and QA teams to ensure high-quality and timely product releases.
• Support creation, review, and execution of test cases, ensuring feature validation during internal testing cycles.

Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with Pre-Sales, Account Management, Project Delivery, and SaaS teams to support customer workshops, RFP responses, and product demonstrations.
• Facilitate functional training sessions for internal teams to ensure alignment and readiness.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients to gather feedback, understand evolving needs, and influence product direction.

Client Support & Continuous Improvement

• Provide expert-level product guidance during implementations, UAT, and production stages.
• Analyze user feedback, product performance, and post-launch metrics to drive improvements and expand product value.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Trade Finance and Payments, advising internal teams and customers on domain-related topics.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Experience

Minimum 12 years of overall experience, with:

• At least 5 years in Trade Finance Operations, demonstrating hands-on knowledge of Trade Finance operations and instruments
• At least 2 years experience in Payment operations, demonstrating strong understanding of payment ecosystems, including

  cross-border payments

  ,

  Swift standards

  ,

  payment gateways

  , and

  transaction processing systems

• Strong experience in drafting user stories, creating test cases, functional specifications and executing them for Trade Finance solutions.
• Proficiency in delivering functional training, conducting requirement analysis and writing functional specifications.
• Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA is a plus
• Experience in testing Trade Finance Applications, experience with implementation projects and experience working with Trade Finance or core banking systems (e.g., CGI, Finastra, IMEX) is an advantage

Skills

• Deep expertise in global trade and payment regulations including
