The Role

As Product Owner for our Rental Equipment Management solutions, you’ll bridge strategy and execution. Working closely with Product Management, you’ll translate vision into actionable roadmaps and ensure delivery of solutions that help our customers manage, integrate, and unlock the power of PO – Rental Solutions. You’ll be the voice of the product, driving innovation and ensuring quality from concept to release.

What You’ll Do

• Translate the product vision into clear priorities, ensuring alignment with business strategy and market needs.
• Act as the voice of the customer — understanding pain points and ensuring solutions deliver real value.
• Collaborate with Product Management to shape the roadmap and identify opportunities for innovation, particularly in rental industry processes and challenges and AI.
• Communicate direction and progress clearly to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams.
• Represent the product internally and externally — from customer demos to partner discussions and industry events.

Responsibilities

• Backlog Leadership: Own and maintain the product backlog, defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensuring clarity for development teams.
• Delivery Oversight: Work hand-in-hand with engineering teams to guide sprint planning, manage dependencies, and ensure features meet quality standards.
• Customer Engagement: Gather insights directly from customers, partners, and market research to validate requirements and influence prioritization.
• AI & Rental Equipment Industry: Drive the use of AI/ML technologies and modern data practices (integration, quality, security) to enhance product offerings.
• Enablement & Adoption: Support testing, release notes, documentation, and training to ensure smooth adoption by internal teams and customers.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Delivery, Marketing, and Customer Operations to create a seamless product experience from concept to delivery.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in retrospectives and foster a culture of learning, innovation, and operational excellence.

What You Bring - Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of product management/product ownership experience, preferably in equipment rental, fleet management, logistics or heavy asset industries.
• Demonstrated success in building and launching software products (especially SaaS/ERP/asset management platforms) that drive business value.
• Strong understanding of rental business models: asset lifecycle management, utilization optimization, pricing strategies, revenue streams (including sub-rental), compliance and global operations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems—ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar—and integration with mobile/field service/IoT technologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills. Able to liaise across business, operations and technology teams.
• Analytical mindset: comfortable defining and tracking KPIs, using dashboards and BI tools to guide decision-making.
• Prior experience working in agile software delivery environments (Scrum/Kanban).
• Ability to travel occasionally (for on-site demos or customer engagements) as needed.
