Role Overview: As the owner of the vision, roadmap, and delivery of enterprise-grade data platforms and BI experiences, your main goal is to transform fragmented data into reliable, governed, and actionable products that enhance decision-making and time-to-insight across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities: - Define Vision & Roadmap: - Develop a problem-first roadmap for lakehouse, semantic layer, and BI experiences in alignment with priority business journeys & projects. - Prioritize domains based on value hypotheses (revenue, cost, risk) and ROI models. - UAT first development: - Collaborate with stakeholders to map source systems, data contracts, golden records, and reporting needs. - Create detailed UAT documents for each feature including acceptance criteria, test cases, and evaluation metrics. - Product Leadership: - Lead backlog, sprints, and releases with data engineering, platform teams, and BI developers. - Manage dependencies such as data readiness, reference/master data, identity resolution, and security. - Measure, Learn, Iterate: - Monitor guardrails like freshness, completeness, accuracy, lineage coverage, and cost-to-serve. - Enhance models/marts through A/B testing on dashboard usage, query latency, and decision-cycle metrics. - Governance & Compliance: - Implement MDM policies (match/merge, survivorship), ETL/ELT standards, data cataloging, and access control. - Collaborate with Security/Legal for PII/PHI handling, data residency, SOC2/ISO alignment. - Bridge Business & Technology: - Translate schemas and platform constraints into business KPIs, SLAs, and ROI. - Facilitate self-service through certified datasets, semantic models, and data literacy artifacts. Qualification Required: - 2+ years of direct experience in delivering data platforms/BI initiatives. - Hands-on product ownership with at least one modern data platform like Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric/Azure, or Cognite Data Fusion. - Proficiency in MDM concepts, ETL/ELT pipelines, data governance, and agile execution tools. - Strong academic background with an MBA in Tier-1 engineering/CS.
