Job Description

As a Product Manager at Morningstar, you will play a crucial role in shaping the product vision, translating strategies into actionable roadmaps, and ensuring the delivery of measurable business value. Your responsibilities will include: - Shape and own the product vision and roadmap, aligning with business strategy and advisor/investor needs. - Prioritize the backlog based on value, risk, and impact, ensuring a focus on high-value outcomes. - Drive automation and efficiency by redefining processes overly reliant on manual tasks and building technology solutions to automate and enable scale. - Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements, define clear acceptance criteria, and ensure alignment across business and technology. - Measure success through data, setting clear OKRs and tracking delivery against agreed outcomes. - Champion the adoption of changes across internal teams and external clients, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum impact. - Partner with the engineering team to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with platform standards. Qualifications we are looking for in a candidate: - 3-6 years of experience in product ownership or product management roles, preferably within fintech, investment platforms, or financial services. - Proven experience in owning a product roadmap and leading delivery in an agile environment. - Strong product management skills including vision-setting, discovery, prioritization, stakeholder engagement, and outcome focus. - Solid understanding of technology, data flows, and operations; ability to translate complex technical problems into business value. - Commercial acumen with experience balancing customer needs, cost efficiency, and strategic objectives. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to engage credibly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Familiarity with modern platform concepts such as APIs, micro-services, cloud-native design is beneficial. - Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure solutions are designed with scalability, reusability, and cost optimization in mind.
