As a Product Manager in the Consumer Community Banking (CCB) Data Goverce Product and supporting the Policy Authoring Tooling team, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.

The Policy Authoring Tooling Area within CCB Data Goverce is responsible for accelerating the use of data by delivering innovative solutions in automated access and centralize policy intelligence, empowering the firm to fully leverage CCB s data assets with confidence and precision.

Job summary

The Product Manager for the Data Goverce Data Access Policy Authoring Tooling area will develop and maintain a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap, aligning with the company s overall business goals. This role involves defining product requirements, collaborating with product, design and technology teams, engaging with customers, conducting market research, and developing compelling product positioning. Additionally, the Product Manager will promote the products value proposition to build brand loyalty and ensure alignment across a matrixed environment, leveraging strong technical and communication skills to drive strategic change.

Job Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning Roadmap Development Develop and maintain a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for the Data Goverce Data Access area, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Product Development Define product requirements and collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop, prioritize, and deliver features.
• Customer Focus Engage with customers to understand their needs and ensure a seamless, user-centric experience.
• Market Research Product Positioning Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats. Develop compelling product positioning and value propositions that differentiate our data goverce solutions.
• Use Case Identification Leverage business requirements, competitive analysis, and research to identify use cases and high-level requirements for exceptional user experiences.
• Brand Advocacy Promote the product s value proposition to build brand loyalty and advocacy among users and stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Influence Alignment Drive alignment across a matrixed environment, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and ownership. Coordinate data migration and management activities, integrate customer requirements into the roadmap, author detailed user journeys, and collaborate with engineering to refine and test features. Prepare materials, prototypes, and training resources in partnership with stakeholders, balancing feature delivery with technical and goverce requirements.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a product manager, product owner, or similar role, including user requirements discovery, requirements refinement, and backlog management.
• 5+ years of experience managing data goverce solutions for data access policy management, access rules engines, and metadata management, using tools such as Immuta, Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS. Experience defining and implementing data management processes (e.g., data access management, policy definition, policy insights, and visualization).
• Proficiency in problem and solution framing using Word, PowerPoint, and Confluence; visual representation using Visio and Lucid; data analysis and transformation using Excel, Alteryx, SQL Editor, Python, and Spark; experience with Teradata, Snowflake, AWS, and Oracle databases; ability to assess Java code for testing; and collaboration with engineering teams to deliver features via API.
• Excellent written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong storytelling ability is essential.
• Strong technical background with the ability to effectively communicate feature requirements to engineering teams.
• Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment, with a proven ability to manage tight delivery timelines and drive strategic change.
• Master s degree in product management, computer information systems, information systems, data analytics, or 7+ years of equivalent professional experience with a bachelor s degree in the above fields.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Prior data access experience is highly desirable; technical knowledge of data management and goverce within a large ficial institution is preferred.
• Experience conducting user research, analyzing quantitative customer data, and gathering other voice-of-customer insights.
• Demonstrated proficiency in best practices for web-based application information architecture, design patterns, usability principles, and techniques, as well as a strong understanding of modern data platforms and architectures (e.g., AWS) and how goverce integrates with engineering workflows
• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification or equivalent credentials in Data Management/Data Goverce are preferred
