Job Description

As a Computer Scientist 1 at Adobe, you will play a crucial role in developing robust and scalable software solutions that have a global impact. Your responsibilities will include: - Crafting and implementing robust, scalable software solutions - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine requirements and successfully implement new features - Mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement - Ensuring seamless integration of various backend services - Participating in code reviews and upholding high coding standards - Applying best development practices like Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery to maintain software quality - Working within Scrum or similar agile frameworks to deliver projects on time To excel in this role, you should possess: - 5-7 years of software engineering experience, focusing on front-end development - Proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), React, or similar frameworks to solve complex problems - Demonstrated experience in building scalable and performant web applications with clean and maintainable code - Strong understanding of front-end architecture, state management, and component design - Skills in HTML5, CSS3 (including pre-processors like SASS/LESS), and responsive design - Exposure to backend technologies and APIs, with Java knowledge considered a plus - Familiarity with tools and frameworks like Webpack, Babel, Vite, and testing libraries (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library) - Experience with cloud-based integrations, preferably AWS or Firebase - Knowledge of web performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility - Prior experience in mentoring junior front-end developers - Proficiency in Agile/Scrum development environments - Experience with CI/CD pipelines for front-end projects - Understanding of CDN and performance optimization techniques, such as Akamai and Cloudflare In addition to the technical skills, excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential for success in this role.
