Job Description

  • Develop and execute the product strategy for our UPI offering, ensuring alignment with company goals and market trends. Identify opportunities for product enhancements to improve user experience and drive growth.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, engineering, design, marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the product life cycle.
  • Lead the planning and execution of product initiatives, from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features. Define clear product requirement documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and oversee the development process to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis, including competitive benchmarking and user research, to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and market opportunities within the UPI space. Translate insights into actionable product strategies and feature prioritization.
  • Utilize data analytics and insights to inform product decisions, measure performance, and iterate on product features and experiences. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track product success, and leverage data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and optimization.
  • Stay aware of evolving regulatory requirements related to UPI, ensuring full compliance and adherence to relevant laws and guidelines.
  • Serve as a mentor and coach to junior product team members, providing guidance and support for professional growth and development. Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and accountability within the product organization.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills for identifying and addressing challenges in the product. Should be able to think creatively, analytically, and strategically to overcome obstacles and find solutions
  • Should have a high degree of ownership. This involves setting clear goals, making decisions decisively, and seeing initiatives through to completion
  • Effective communication is key for aligning cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, and conveying complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong understanding of product metrics and experience of having improved metrics for a B2C product
  • Written code in your past life or should be able to understand engineering complexities very well

Education and Qualifications

  • 5+ yrs of total experience in an engineering and/or product role
  • 3+ yrs of experience in shipping successful B2C products
  • Hands on experience building products and/or features in payments and banking is preferred as it will help you cut down the learning curve
  • Strong new product design experience and a fanatical approach to customer experience.
