Job Description

As a dedicated L3 Support Engineer at Citi, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications by handling escalations, performing root cause analysis, and resolving complex production issues. Your expertise in Java-based applications, database troubleshooting, and DevSecOps practices will be essential in collaborating with development and operations teams to drive permanent fixes and system improvements. Key Responsibilities: - Application Support (L3): - Handle escalations from L1/L2 teams, analyze complex issues, and provide permanent fixes. - Debug Java applications in production and staging environments. - Collaborate with development teams for code-level improvements. - Database Troubleshooting: - Perform advanced SQL query analysis and optimize queries. - Diagnose DB performance issues and work on data integrity concerns. - Design schema changes and implement corrective actions with DBAs. - DevSecOps & Environment Management: - Manage CI/CD pipelines for deploying hotfixes and releases. - Apply security best practices in application and infrastructure support. - Automate monitoring, alerts, and log analysis for efficient operations. - Incident & Problem Management: - Monitor, triage, and resolve critical incidents to meet SLAs. - Drive permanent fixes through problem management processes. - Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base for recurring issues. Qualifications Required: - Technical Skills: - Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs debugging. - Hands-on experience with SQL databases and query tuning. - Proficiency in CI/CD tools, DevSecOps practices, and cloud platforms. - Familiarity with monitoring & logging tools for efficient operations. - Soft Skills: - Strong problem-solving & debugging skills. - Ability to work under pressure during production incidents. - Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
