Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Designer to lead the design and evolution of our design system used across multiple products and platforms. This role is pivotal in ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency in user interface design while empowering product teams to build delightful, accessible, and cohesive user experiences. The Senior Product Designer will work closely with our cross-functional teams, including engineering, research team and designers across the organization to drive adoption and contribute to the long-term strategy and success of our design system

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

Lead and facilitate collaboration with product designers and UI developers to ensure design system alignment across products.

Develop and maintain design standards and guidelines that ensure consistency across all products and platforms.

Manage and track the component library, ensuring it remains accurate, scalable, and easy to use

Champion innovative design thinking within the team, driving the development of groundbreaking design solutions that push the boundaries of the product's user experience.

Conduct research and usability testing for components to ensure optimal user experience.

Conduct audits of existing UI components and patterns to identify inconsistencies and opportunities for consolidation.

Design components in a highly generic and flexible way, ensuring usability across all products under BMC.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in product design, and identify opportunities to improve the user experience.

Partner with engineering for accurate, pixel-perfect implementation.

Build strong relationships with stakeholders and evangelize the importance of user-centered design throughout the organization.

To ensure youre set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in product design, graphic design, or a related field.

Minimum of 6 years of experience in UX/product design, with a proven track record of designing and delivering successful products.

Strong portfolio that demonstrates your design skills, process, and impact.

Expertise in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and InVision.

Experience with design systems, component libraries, and design standards.

Solid knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design best practices.

Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, design thinking, and human-computer interaction.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
