About Mirnest

Mirnest is a UK-based parenting venture focused on one mission: simplifying the parenting journey. Our first product is a subscription-based toy rental service, providing parents with safe, engaging, developmentally meaningful toys that grow with their child.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Product Designer to lead the design of our toys and supporting materials—from concept to production. You’ll create safe, engaging, developmentally aligned products that inspire children and delight parents.

Key Responsibilities

1) Toy Design

• Concept and iterate toy forms based on child-development research
• Create CAD models and detailed, production-ready drawings
• Build and refine prototypes with stakeholder input

2) Design Language & Branding

• Develop cohesive toy aesthetics (materials, finishes, colors)
• Support creation of Mirnest brand identity (logo, packaging, visual system)
• Produce brand guidelines to ensure design consistency

3) Parent Materials & Packaging

• Design play guides and instructional inserts
• Create engaging graphics for toy packaging
• Support design of kit storage solutions (bags, boxes)

4) Collaboration

• Work closely with child-development experts and manufacturers
• Iterate designs based on user testing and safety standards (UKCA/EN71)
• Maintain design documentation for production and compliance

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Product/Industrial Design (NID/IIT or equivalent preferred)
• Strong CAD and prototyping skills (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, or similar)
• Portfolio showing end-to-end ownership (concept → CAD → prototype)
• Experience with children’s products/toys/consumer goods preferred
• Creative thinker who balances aesthetics, functionality, and safety
• Ability to work independently and deliver on tight timelines

Compensation

• ₹80,000 – 100,000 per month, depending on experience and portfolio strength
