As a Product Designer (Accessories) at Alankaram, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative home decor accessories and lifestyle products aligned with Alankaram's design language. Your role will involve creating detailed sketches, 3D models, and technical drawings for prototyping and production. Collaboration with the in-house design and production teams will be essential to ensure feasibility, material efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Researching global design trends, materials, and finishes will be necessary to keep the accessory line competitive and fresh. You will oversee sampling, testing, and refinement of prototypes before final approval and work closely with marketing and merchandising teams to create collections suitable for premium retail and hospitality projects. Maintaining design consistency and quality across all accessory lines will be a key aspect of your role. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5 years of proven experience in product or accessory design, preferably in furniture/luxury decor. - Strong portfolio showcasing accessory design in lighting, mirrors, decor items, handles, etc. - Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, or SolidWorks, plus rendering software like KeyShot or V-Ray. - Knowledge of materials such as wood, metal, glass, fabric, and composites, as well as manufacturing techniques. - Ability to balance creativity with functionality and production feasibility. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or Furniture Design from a recognized institute.
