Product Design - Intern

You will be joining Leap as a Product Designer Intern, where you will be responsible for revolutionizing user experiences through collaboration and cutting-edge design. Your main goal will be to drive engagement with intuitive interfaces that are fueled by passion and customer obsession. As a part of our team, you will stay ahead of trends and drive continuous innovation to make a significant impact. Your role will involve collaborating effectively with product, engineering, and business teams to deeply understand the problems faced by our customers. You will be expected to explore multiple high-level approaches to solving these problems and design our UI elements while shaping our UX as our products mature and scale. Additionally, you will create prototypes and conduct usability testing to ensure that the voice of the customer is present in your designs by incorporating feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings. You will also play a vital role in evolving our design patterns and standards. The ideal candidate for this position would have prior internship experience, working knowledge of Figma and how component libraries/design systems are set up, an eye for detail, and a passion for turning ideas into visually compelling designs. You should have a true focus on the customer, making design decisions based on research, including interviews, usability testing, and quantitative data. A passion for learning and growth, curiosity about the why of design, and experience working on consumer-facing products are all desirable qualities for this role.
