Product Design & Craft Research - Intern

You are looking for a design intern who is excited about handmade materials and loves lighting. You are interested in materials like terracotta, stoneware, sabai grass, bamboo, cane, and natural fibers. You have a passion for lighting design, ranging from table and floor lamps to ambient wall sconces. You are willing to travel to artisan clusters for sampling and follow-ups. You are comfortable working hands-on with clay, fibers, and weaving in a non-AC, open studio space. You have the ability to sketch ideas (hand/digital) and knowledge of Adobe Suite, Rhino, or 3D software is a bonus.
