As an Art and Craft Teacher for primary grades (Grades 1 to 5) at our school in Pune, Maharashtra, you will play a crucial role in fostering the artistic abilities of young students. Your main responsibility will be to design and deliver engaging art and craft lessons tailored to the age group of the students. You will introduce them to various artistic techniques and mediums such as drawing, painting, paper crafts, clay work, and mixed media, aiming to encourage their creativity, self-expression, and confidence. Your day-to-day tasks will involve preparing teaching materials, setting up art supplies in a safe and organized manner, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to enhance their artistic skills. Additionally, you will be involved in organizing school art exhibitions, cultural events, and classroom displays to showcase the students" talents and create a vibrant learning environment. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fine Arts (BFA/MFA) and have at least 1 year of relevant teaching experience in a school setting. Strong classroom management and communication skills are essential, along with a creative mindset and a genuine passion for early childhood education. Your ability to inspire and engage with young learners through art will be crucial in creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment that supports all students. Collaboration with other teachers and staff to integrate art with other subjects whenever possible will be encouraged to provide a holistic learning experience for the students. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers benefits such as Provident Fund. A minimum of 2 years of experience in primary art and craft teaching, along with a BFA/MFA certification, will be preferred for this role. We are seeking a design intern who is enthusiastic about handmade materials and has a passion for lighting design. The ideal candidate should be interested in working with materials such as terracotta, stoneware, sabai grass, bamboo, cane, and natural fibers. They should be excited about designing a variety of lighting products, ranging from table and floor lamps to ambient wall sconces. The intern should be willing to travel to artisan clusters for sampling and follow-ups. Additionally, they should be comfortable working hands-on with clay, fibers, and weaving in a non-AC, open studio space. The ability to sketch ideas, whether by hand or digitally, is essential. Knowledge of Adobe Suite, Rhino, or 3D software would be a bonus. This is a 2-month internship with a paid stipend, located in Bhubaneswar (On-site only).
