Product Costing Executive

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Costing & Analysis:

• Prepare detailed cost sheets for each mobile model, considering all the Schemes and Notifications from Supplier.
• Identify cost variances between standard and actual costs and investigate reasons.
• Assist management in product pricing decisions and margin analysis.
• Work with procurement team to update costing for new product launches and design changes.
• Maintain and update cost master data in ERP systems.

2. Credit & Debit Note Management:

• Verify and process credit and debit notes raised towards vendors, distributors, and service partners.
• Ensure proper documentation and justification for issuance in compliance with GST Act and company policy.
• Reconcile vendor/customer accounts to ensure all notes are correctly accounted for.
• Coordinate with sales and purchase teams for approvals and GST reconciliation.
• Track and report the financial impact of credit/debit notes on product margins and profitability.

3. Financial & GST Compliance:

• Ensure cost data aligns with financial reporting standards and GST regulations.
• Assist in monthly closing activities cost variance analysis, inventory valuation, and adjustments.
• Support internal and statutory audits with cost and note-related documentation.

4. Coordination & Reporting:

• Collaborate with purchase and Finance teams to validate costing data.
• Provide management reports on cost trends, cost reduction opportunities, and profitability.
• Support the finance team in annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and product costing methodologies.
• Understanding of mobile manufacturing or distribution industry processes.
• Proficiency in Excel (advanced).
• Familiarity with GST compliance, particularly for credit and debit notes.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.

Educational Qualification:

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or Cost Accountant (ICWA Inter/Final) preferred.

Experience Required:

• 3–6 years of experience in product costing / management accounting in the mobile, electronics, or FMCG sector.
• Practical experience in handling credit and debit note accounting and GST returns.
