The Applications Support Analyst 2 is a developing professional role where you will apply your specialty area knowledge to monitor, assess, analyze, and evaluate processes and data. You will be responsible for identifying policy gaps, formulating policies, interpreting data, and making recommendations based on your research and interpretation of factual information. Additionally, you will identify inconsistencies in data or results, define business issues, and provide recommendations on policies, procedures, or practices. By integrating established disciplinary knowledge within your specialty area with a basic understanding of related industry practices, you will contribute to the team's objectives. Your role will have a limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks and services you provide, with the impact restricted to your own team. As an Application Support Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include having a good understanding of application support procedures and concepts, as well as basic knowledge of other technical areas to maintain, identify, and define enhancements to existing applications and their operating environments. You will analyze existing system logic, use evaluative judgment to make recommendations, and implement enhancements or fixes. By formulating and defining the scope and objectives for changes through research and fact-finding, combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry standards, you will be documenting requirements. Collaboration with appropriate development and production support areas, participation in validation and testing activities, and assessing the applicability of previous experiences are also key aspects of your role. Your activities will have a limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of services provided, influencing your team and closely related teams. Efficient exchange of ideas and information in a concise and logical manner will be essential, along with the performance of other assigned duties and functions. Qualifications for this role include 2-6 years of experience or interest in application support procedures, concepts, and other technical areas. Participation in process improvements, ability to work under pressure, analytical and troubleshooting skills, knowledge in banking applications and server infrastructure, as well as good interpersonal and communication skills are desired attributes. A Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience is required for this position.
