Procurement professional

As a Procurement Professional at Hitachi Energy, you will be responsible for acquiring goods and services essential for the organization's operations. Your role will involve handling procurement processes for both Indirect Operations (such as office supplies, computers, travel, maintenance, machine parts) and Direct Operations (including raw materials and services for manufacturing, production, or construction). This will encompass tasks such as product/service sourcing, supplier selection, pricing/terms negotiation, order processing, contract administration, and supplier performance management. You may also engage in strategic sourcing activities to optimize procurement efficiency. In this position, you will play a crucial role in import and domestic procurement of Capex/Opex, material planning based on project plans, purchase and logistics management. You will conduct detailed project reviews to establish delivery schedules and project timelines, as well as daily progress reviews of work and material delivery status. Collaboration with quality control teams to ensure incoming materials meet quality standards and effective communication with internal departments to understand their procurement needs will be key aspects of your job. To excel in this role, you are expected to have 5-6 years of experience and a bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering. Your responsibilities will include overseeing all procurement activities for projects, developing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring adherence to regulations and policies. Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders will be essential for the smooth execution of projects. Additionally, you will be required to assess and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including identifying potential disruptions and implementing contingency plans. Proficiency in both spoken and written English is a must-have requirement for this role.
