Process R&D - Internship

Role Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated postgraduate candidates (MTech/MPharm/MSc) from Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related fields to join our Research & Development team. This entry-level role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across formulation development, upstream and downstream bioprocessing, and analytical characterization of biologics. Fresh graduates with academic project experience or internships are encouraged to apply.

You will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, contributing to experimental design, data analysis, process optimization, and cross-functional initiatives that support drug development and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulation Development

  :
• Assist in developing and optimizing formulations for biological products
• Conduct stability studies and proof-of-concept experiments
• Perform literature reviews and contribute to scientific documentation

• Cell Culture (Upstream)

  :
• Support fermentation, cell culture, and upstream process optimization
• Execute enzyme assays and biochemical experiments
• Maintain microbial and mammalian cell cultures using aseptic techniques

• Downstream Processing (Drug Substance)

  :
• Participate in protein purification and separation processes (e.g., chromatography, filtration, TFF)
• Assist in process scale-up and technology transfer activities
• Contribute to process validation and regulatory documentation

• Analytical & Molecular Techniques (Molecular Biology)

  :
• Use analytical tools such as HPLC, UV, pH, Osmolality, KF, SDS-PAGE, ELISA
• Learn molecular biology techniques like PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, Western blotting

• Data Analysis & Reporting

  :
• Compile and analyze experimental data using basic statistical tools
• Maintain accurate lab records and prepare technical reports

• Collaboration & Compliance

  :
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including QA, QC, Manufacturing, and Regulatory
• Adhere to GLP, GMP, EHS, and other industry standards

Desired Skillset

• Postgraduate degree (MTech, MPharm, MSc, or equivalent) in relevant scientific disciplines
• Basic understanding of bioprocessing, formulation science, and analytical techniques
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and manage multiple priorities
• Familiarity with scientific software/tools (e.g., Empower CDS) is a plus
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the biopharma industry
