Process Leader US Mortgage Loan Portfolio Control and Accounting

As a Process Leader in the US Mortgage Loan Portfolio Control and Accounting team at FinacPlus, your role will involve providing virtual business process services to a Real Estate Lender in the US Mortgage Finance industry. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Leading and Working on Mortgage Loan Portfolio Control Reports and Accounting support. - Training the team, assigning tasks, performance management, and process improvements. - Running various loan portfolio analytics on accuracy and completeness. - Reconciliation of remittance and other reports for completeness and accuracy. - Performing various system to source reconciliations. - Problem-solving inconsistent data between systems and cash and other transaction activity. - Creating custom reports to monitor transaction activities. - Creating tracking logs for breaks in system/reporting/reconciliation and liaising with internal and external contacts to resolve. - Tracking performance metrics on 3rd party service providers for SLAs and monitoring/managing performance. - Identifying risks of error and implementing new controls and processes to mitigate risks of error. - Track record of building new processes and procedures related to reporting and reconciliation. - Ability to lead a new project, develop a project plan and blueprint, and build a team and process from the ground-up to meet the overall project objectives. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, specifically in terms of issues management and project management. - Ability to work and lead the team. - Ability to take complete responsibility for the Team deliverables. Qualifications and Experience required for this role: - Above 8 years of experience in US Mortgage Loan Servicing, Loan accounting, Treasury, and Bank Reconciliation areas. - Data analysis experience with Excel or other programming languages is preferred. - Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentations to senior management. - Masters degree in finance or accounting or CMA or CA or similar qualification. - Real estate, mortgage banking, or asset management industry experience is preferred. - Accounting Packages like Quick Books and NetSuite experience is preferred. Skills required for the role: - Strong Finance and Accounting skills, application of financial policies of the company. - Compliance with US Legal Regulatory Requirements related to clients" mortgage business. - Customer accounts reconciliation and Reporting, Implementation of strong Accounting Controls. - Advanced Excel customization skills, Report envisaging, and presentation skills.
