Process Improvement Engineer

As a Process Improvement Engineer at NewJaisa, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our laptop and desktop refurbishing operations. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify recurring defects in laptops and desktops at component and system levels. - Designing and implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to reduce defect rates. - Driving yield improvement initiatives across various refurbishing processes. - Applying Value Added (VA) / Non-Value Added (NVA) analysis to enhance throughput. - Supporting automation initiatives for testing, quality control, and repair workflows. - Collaborating with Quality, Production, and R&D teams to develop robust repair SOPs. - Benchmarking against industry best practices and integrating them into refurbishing processes. - Identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities while maintaining quality standards. - Providing training and feedback to technicians to elevate repair standards. - Tracking performance metrics and reporting regularly to management. To excel in this role, you should possess: - 3-4 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, PC/laptop refurbishing, or repair-focused engineering roles. - Strong knowledge of PC hardware architecture and hands-on experience with failure analysis tools. - Exposure to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. - Understanding of test & inspection processes in a high-volume electronics environment. - Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Preferred qualifications include a degree/diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, prior experience in refurbishing setups, and certification in Lean Six Sigma.
