Role Overview: As a Principal Software Engineer at Brightly, you will be responsible for building and maintaining .NET Web APIs and Angular frontends with modular, testable architectures and clean contracts. You will work alongside top-notch engineers and product teams to design, implement, deliver, and support highly ambitious products and integrations. Your passion and dedication to the craft of software will play a crucial role in the success of our projects. Key Responsibilities: - Design and optimize schemas, migrations, and queries across SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL - Create Jenkins pipelines for build, test, packaging, artifact management, environment promotion, and releases - Implement AWS deployments with secure networking, secrets management, logging/metrics/alerts, and autoscaling - Enforce code quality through code reviews, static analysis, tests, and security checks - Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, SLO/SLI error budgets, and continuous improvement - Mentor engineers, set engineering standards, and collaborate closely with product, QA, and DevOps teams Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline - 8-10 years of experience in C#, .NET/.NET Core, RESTful API design, Angular, TypeScript, RxJS - Strong SQL skills and performance tuning on SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL - Proficiency in Jenkins pipelines, Git, automated testing, AWS services, and containerization - Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and secure SDLC practices Additional Details: The culture at Brightly is guided by a vision of community that serves the ambitions and well-being of all people.
