Job Description

As a Principal Quantity Surveyor at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects by collaborating with client teams. Your commitment to safety, high-quality standards, and adherence to project schedules and budgets will be essential in this role. This position offers exposure to challenging infrastructure projects in the UK. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage the pre-contract tender process, including tender assessment, queries, and issuing the contract award recommendation report. - Provide robust estimates aligned with project scope and accounting for all risks. - Handle commercial inputs to the procurement process and develop agreed-upon strategies. - Ensure proactive budget and cost management, offering solutions with a positive attitude. - Own accurate commercial reporting and actively manage project and programme risks. - Develop strong client relationships across the organization and support internal business development initiatives. **Qualifications Required for the Position:** - BE/B.Tech/Master's in Civil Engineering or relevant Quantity Surveying qualification. - Extensive experience in project delivery, administration, and management. - Practical application of NEC3 or 4 ECC main Option A, C, or E. - Experience in pre-contract tendering and contract management software such as CEMAR. - Stakeholder management skills. - Willingness to travel to and work in the client's office, with potential for overnight stays. **Candidate Specification:** - BE/B.Tech/Master's in Civil Engineering or relevant Quantity Surveying qualification. - Minimum of 13 years of relevant experience. - Proficiency in Excel. **Desirable Skills:** - Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS or equivalent). - Experience with NEC3 or 4 ECC main Option A, C, or E. - Data collection and analysis skills, including presentation in a suitable format. - Delivery experience within a Cost Consultancy. - Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. - Experience with CostX, PowerBI, or SharePoint. - Experience in relevant sectors like residential, mixed-use development, or transportation-related development. **Additional Company Details:** Our company offers an agile and safe working environment, competitive annual leave and sick leaves, a group incentive scheme, group term life insurance, workmen's compensation, and group medical insurance coverage.
