Role: Principal Product Manager
The Economic Times | Business Verticals
Location: Noida (Onsite)*

The Economic Times Business Verticals builds digital products and business platforms serving communities of business professionals, leaders and decision makers across 20+ sectors in India.

A. Key Responsibilities
- Develop product and growth strategy from nuanced analysis of market shifts, AI adoption, and evolving customer pain points.
- Identify and validate product and business opportunities through customer research, structured experiments, and ad-hoc data analysis.
- Build scalable growth loops to increase user base, engagement, and conversions through data segmentation, customer insights, and funnel experimentation.
- Use analytics tools (SQL, Excel, Python, Amplitude or Google Analytics) for segmentation, experimentation, forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Conduct structured customer and stakeholder interviews (including CXOs) and translate findings into clear problem statements and product requirements.
- Use AI for rapid prototyping, workflow design, and creation of go-to-market assets (demos, videos, marketing emails advertisement copies).
- Build product strategy blueprints, business cases, forecasts, and prioritized roadmaps to guide investment and execution.
- Influence and align senior cross-functional leaders on product strategy, trade-offs, and delivery timelines.

B. Who should apply
Overall to 6 to 10 years of full-time relevant work experience years:
Candidates having at least one of the following backgrounds are invited to apply:
i. Early-stage builder:
Proven track record of launching and scaling zero-to-one products as a founder, co-founder, or early product lead.
ii. High-growth operator:
Senior PM or core team member at a fast-scaling digital/SaaS company with measurable user or revenue growth outcomes.
iii. Consulting strategist:
Client-facing consultant or product manager within a digital consulting or transformation practice, leading user or revenue growth, customer strategy, or large-scale digital programs.
C. Core Competencies
- Strong customer centricity:
Adept at understanding deeper user needs pain points, adoption triggers, and map them to potential business impact.
- Excellent UX and workflow design judgement; able to critique and refine experiences with designers for usability.
- Power user of modern digital products with an eye for growth tactics, retention mechanics, and emerging UX trends.

D. Metrics numbers oriented:
Hands-on with data analytics, designing surveys and conducting experimentation with prototypes to validate hypotheses.
- Skilled at structured customer discovery (including CXOs) and translating insights into product direction.
- Effective communicator and influencer across product, design, engineering, and business teams.
- Comfortable converting ambiguity into clear direction actionable steps with a mindset of owning outcomes end-to-end.
