Principal Process Engineer (Pre-sales)

As a Pre-Sales, Technical Sales Support at Lummus Technology, you will play a crucial role in engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and presenting technical solutions from the Lummus Digital product portfolio. Your responsibilities will include: - Learning technical attributes, applicability, and marketing messaging for the entire Lummus Digital product portfolio. - Accompanying Sales Manager on customer engagements and leading technical presentations of product features and value. - Matching customer needs with Lummus Digital products and defining project deliverables and assumptions. - Coordinating with process engineers and software developers for the creation of new software products. - Leading product value estimation and articulation. - Drafting Technical Proposals for product delivery and supporting the commercial team in cost estimation. - Collaborating with Technology Managers and Subject Matter Experts from various business units within Lummus Technology. Basic Qualifications: - B.E/B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering. - Minimum of 10 years of in-plant operations technical support experience in refining technologies. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Understanding of plant IT and process controls infrastructure. - Working knowledge of engineering computer tools such as ASPEN, HYSYS/Unisim simulation software. - Exposure to digital solutions applied to refining and petrochemical industry. Desired/Preferred Qualifications: - Exposure to refinery and/or petrochemicals operations. - Experience in process licensing and software sales support. - Exposure to data science/AI platforms. - TS experience, especially in data reviews, analyzing plant data, and developing digital twins.
