Principal Analyst, Reporting and Analytics

As a Business Analyst in the Mortgage Servicing business, your role involves collaborating with business leaders to provide strategic business analysis services. You will closely work with them to gain a thorough understanding of the strategy, processes, roadmap, and the operational context. Your key responsibilities will include: - Evaluating current business methods, processes, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for cost reduction and risk mitigation through the promotion of technological resources. - Leading projects in collaboration with business leaders to design and implement process improvements and reporting solutions. - Critically evaluating information from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, and decomposing high-level information into details. - Initiating projects to improve efficiency, cost savings, visibility, and management of business unit activities. - Creating and maintaining workflows, approval processes, and validation rules based on stakeholder requirements. - Acting as a subject matter expert on core reports, business processes, and key performance indicators. - Challenging business units on their execution plans and ensuring adherence to reporting standards. - Managing the assignment of report requests, automation, and scripts to Developers/Systems Analysts. - Supporting system upgrades and the implementation of new systems. - Ensuring completeness and compliance of responses to internal and external audit requests. - Engaging with senior management to articulate ideas and drive change initiatives. - Providing leadership, mentoring team members, and collaborating with others effectively. In terms of qualifications, you are required to have a Bachelor's degree in an analytical field such as Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology. Additionally, having 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence Tools, Data warehousing, SQL, or MIS reporting is preferred. Prior experience in mortgage analytics is also preferred. Your skills should include strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively. You should be able to operate in a team environment as well as independently, adapting rapidly to changing circumstances. Knowledge of SQL is a plus, and proficiency in Microsoft Applications is expected. The work schedule for this position is from 2pm to 11pm IST.,
