Department: Academic Location: Kumbakonam Job Purpose: To educate and nurture young learners in a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. The primary school teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum, fostering social, emotional, and academic development of students aged approximately 5 to 11 years. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Delivery: Plan and implement lessons in accordance with the national or school curriculum (e.g., English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Arts, Physical Education). Classroom Management: Create a positive and well-managed classroom atmosphere conducive to learning, using effective behavior management strategies. Assessment & Evaluation: Monitor student progress through observations, assignments, and assessments; provide feedback and maintain accurate records.Support the emotional, social, and intellectual development of students, recognizing individual learning needs and adapting teaching accordingly.Maintain open and regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and well-being.Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing professional development opportunities.Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection, following school policies and legal requirements.Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, subject specialists, and other staff to enhance student learning. Qualifications and Experience: Student Development: Communication: Professional Development Bachelor’s Degree in Education or relevant field (B.Ed or equivalent). Prior teaching experience at the primary level is preferred. Strong knowledge of child development and pedagogy. Key Skills and Attributes: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm. Strong classroom and time management skills. Technological proficiency for educational tools and record keeping.
