Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Accountable for integration of internal and external deliverable supporting program milestone dates.
Acts as single voice to the Manufacturing Integration Manager and Vehicle Line Engineer.
Provides Stamping leadership and support to the stamping launch structure
Liaison to the Press Shop Area Manager for Manufacturing Engineering issues.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all construction and installation activities in the Press Shop as per project schedule.
Responsible for completion of equipment installation, home line tryout, metal matching & de-bug and validation.
Tooling & Equipment Validation and Buy-Off
Provides Level 1 & 2 outline for all Master Dot activities for Press, ensuring updates with the appropriate countermeasures.
Responsible for Die Design buy-off, Home line tryout of dies, and support body dimensional quality. and final buy-off of dies
Metal matching and dimensional tune-in for ABC Metrics
Ensure planning and preparation for Press Installation
Implementation of Engineering changes and process improvements
Capacity studies and cost estimates for stamping initiatives to input into business case studies
Support thru-put improvement
Finalization of press dies and checking fixtures requirements, based on project strategy.
Trouble scouting of tooling during home line trials.
Resolve line issues to support efficient production and throughput.
Assist in the enhancing efficiency trough minimization of tooling concern.
