The Opportunity Are you passionate about transforming complex research findings into clear, compelling visual narratives? We're looking for a creative Presentation Designer to elevate our research communication. In this role, you'll be instrumental in making our research resonate. You will collaborate closely with our researchers and strategists, taking their draft presentations (in PowerPoint and Google Slides) and crafting them into polished, visually engaging, and brand-consistent decks. Your design expertise will ensure complex insights are communicated clearly and impactfully to diverse audiences. Beyond individual projects, you will also play a key role in enhancing our team's efficiency by developing a versatile suite of Microsoft Office and Google Slides templates. These will include designs for various research deliverables (e.g., topline reports, deep dives), capabilities decks, proposals, and more, ensuring consistency and ease of use for our team. This role requires strong technical proficiency in presentation design, a keen eye for layout and information hierarchy, and a knack for visual storytelling especially within a research or professional services context. What You'll Do Presentation Design: Design and refine draft research presentations (PowerPoint/Google Slides) into final, professional-quality deliverables. Apply consistent brand, visual, and design standards across all materials. Visualize complex data and insights effectively using charts, graphs, infographics, and other visual elements. Template Development: Create flexible, user-friendly, and brand-aligned templates for a variety of needs: research reports, data visualizations, sales/capabilities decks, proposals, etc. Design master templates in PowerPoint and Google Slides that maintain brand consistency while allowing researchers to easily populate new content. Collaboration: Work closely with researchers, strategists, and business development leads to understand content priorities and tailor designs appropriately. Incorporate feedback efficiently and manage version control meticulously. What You Bring (Required Qualifications) Proven experience designing professional presentations, ideally for research firms, consulting firms, or professional services companies. Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides, including template creation, mastering slide layouts, advanced formatting, embedding objects, and appropriate use of transitions/animations. Strong understanding and application of data visualization principles. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing polished, high-quality work. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently in a remote environment. Comfortable and effective collaborating with non-designers (researchers, strategists) to interpret their content and elevate its visual presentation. A portfolio showcasing relevant presentation design and template work is required for consideration. Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications) Familiarity with common research report formats and the nuances of visually storytelling insights. Experience working with and implementing established branding and style guides. Comfort using additional design platforms like Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator/InDesign). Excellent communication skills for gathering requirements, presenting design approaches, and incorporating feedback constructively.
