Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and creative Prep 1 Teacher to join our Early Years team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children (typically 4–5 years old) in preparation for formal schooling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate lessons that align with the school's curriculum and early childhood learning outcomes.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity and a love of learning.
• Support children's physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development through structured and play-based activities.
• Use various assessment tools to monitor and document student progress.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student development, achievements, and concerns.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, assistants, and support staff to create a cohesive learning experience.
• Incorporate differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, staff training, and other professional development opportunities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom.
• Follow school policies and adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a related field (required).
• Teaching certification/licensure (as required by local education authorities).
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience working with children in early years or kindergarten settings.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with [Insert Curriculum, e.g., EYFS, Reggio Emilia, Montessori, IB PYP] is a plus.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• A patient, enthusiastic, and compassionate approach to teaching young children.
