Precast Senior Checker

Job Summary:

The Precast Senior Checker is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of precast shop drawings and 3D models. The role involves close coordination with the design, detailing, and BIM teams to maintain high-quality deliverables aligned with project and factory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and check precast shop drawings, erection drawings, and reinforcement details for accuracy and constructability.
• Verify that drawings and models conform to project specifications, design intent, and applicable codes/standards.
• Perform quality checks on Revit models, ensuring LOD and element parameters are maintained correctly.
• Review connections, embeds, lifting and handling details, and ensure coordination with production and site requirements.
• Coordinate with BIM modelers, engineers, and production teams to resolve discrepancies and design issues.
• Prepare and maintain checking logs, markups, and approval records.
• Ensure adherence to company and client drafting standards, QA/QC procedures, and drawing control systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior detailers and checkers.
• Support the BIM Lead and Engineering Manager in design coordination meetings and technical reviews.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks (checking and review workflows).
• In-depth knowledge of precast detailing standards, connection types, and reinforcement detailing.
• Familiar with factory production and site erection requirements.
• Strong eye for detail, accuracy, and drawing consistency.
• Good communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables within tight deadlines.

Preferred Background:

• Experience in precast design offices or precast factories.
• Familiarity with UAE / GCC standards and project delivery practices.
