Precast Production - R&D

Role Overview: As a Precast Production R&D Specialist at our company located in Thambaram, Chennai, you will lead the development, optimization, and implementation of production processes for precast concrete elements, including Beams, Columns, TRC Wall Panels, and Floor Panels. Your responsibilities will include designing and refining manufacturing workflows, overseeing daily production operations, conducting research, documentation, and quality control, spearheading rapid prototyping, and ensuring team leadership and compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Design and refine manufacturing workflows for precast elements (Beams, Columns, TRC Wall Panels, Floor Panels) to enhance quality and scalability. - Implement automation, mould assembly techniques, and compaction methods to achieve dimensional accuracy and structural integrity. - Identify and integrate cost-effective raw materials and additives while maintaining compliance with Raw Material Specifications. - Oversee daily precast production operations, including raw material preparation, curing, finishing, and storage logistics. - Manage machinery maintenance, process automation, and waste-reduction initiatives to optimize resource consumption. - Develop and enforce quality assurance protocols aligned with industry standards. - Create and maintain production research documents, KPI dashboards, and control frameworks. - Spearhead the development of functional precast prototypes and ensure seamless client handover. - Supervise production staff, provide training, and ensure adherence to environmental regulations and sustainable practices. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelors/Masters in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. - Experience: 5+ years in precast concrete production/R&D with expertise in process optimization and prototyping. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, statistical analysis tools, and automation systems. Knowledge of industry standards. - Soft Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, and client communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines. - Physical Requirements: Capability to work in industrial settings, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle exposure to noise/vibration.
