Job Description

IB Trained Teachers Early Years, Lower PYP & Upper PYP

Programme:

Position Overview:

IB-trained educators

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, implement, and assess inquiry-based learning experiences aligned with the
IB-PYP framework
.
Deliver engaging transdisciplinary units of inquiry across subject areas.
Cater to developmental needs of students in
Early Years, Lower PYP, or Upper PYP
as assigned.
Foster students academic, social, emotional, and personal growth.
Use formative and summative assessment strategies as per IB guidelines.
Maintain student portfolios, documentation, and assessment records.
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Collaborate with grade-level teams, PYP Coordinator, and school leadership.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and wellbeing.
Participate in IB planning, reflection meetings, professional development, and school events.
Support PYP Exhibition and other programme-specific initiatives (Upper PYP, where applicable).

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Education or relevant field.
IB-PYP training or certification is mandatory
.
Minimum experience:

Early Years: 2–3 years
Lower PYP: 2–4 years
Upper PYP: 3–5 years

Experience in international/IB schools preferred.

Strong understanding of IB philosophy and inquiry-based pedagogy.
Ability to differentiate instruction based on student needs.
Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Passion for continuous professional growth.
