Job Description

Job Purpose

pre-legal documentation, verification, drafting, coordination, and due-diligence activities

Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-Legal Documents Handling

  • Review incoming documents and classify them based on urgency and risk.
  • Initiate pre-legal processes to resolve issues before escalation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Design and approval, Sales, APF, Legal Review and Finance) for legal inputs.

2. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Communicate with landlords, customers, Funders Legal team and third-party representatives to gather clarifications.
  • Follow up for missing documents, settlement agreements, or dispute details.
  • Maintain professional communication to ensure timely closures.

3. Documentation Verification

  • Verify legal documents for completeness, including sale deeds, agreements, patta documents, NOCs, encumbrance certificates, etc.
  • Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

  • Provide clarification to Landlords on documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate mutually agreeable solutions between Landlords and the organization.

  • Drafting of Sale deed, General power of attorney, Sale receipts, Full and Final Settlements, Premium agreement, NDA, etc.

  • Check all land-related documents to confirm ownership and title clarity.
  • Verify key records such as parent documents, patta/RTC, EC, tax receipts, approvals, and layout plans.
  • Work with external lawyers to obtain Legal Opinions and Title Certificates.
  • Identify risks or issues in land documents and suggest corrective steps.
  • Prepare simple due-diligence summaries highlighting key findings.

  • Turnaround time for due-diligence
  • Stakeholder coordination effectiveness
  • Reduction in escalations to litigation

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Strong knowledge of real estate legal documentation
  • Familiarity with land laws, approvals, and EC/Patta/RTC processes
  • Drafting skills for agreements and legal documents
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder management
  • Attention to detail & analytical ability
  • Ability to identify legal risks early
  • Good coordination with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in MS Office & documentation management
