We are looking for a PowerBI Data Engineer with experience of designing, developing and optimising PowerBI reports and dashboards embedded in a web application. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating insightful, interesting and visually compelling dashboards, while also building and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures. They will be able to demonstrate a portfolio of their PowerBI work as part of the application process. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with the wider Product and Development teams of Holtara, designing and delivering impactful data visualizations and analysis for our global client base of hundreds of investment managers and their thousands of portfolio companies. They will work regularly with product managers, UX designers and development squads to create, prototype and launch PowerBI models and reports that will be embedded in our software applications and client deliverables. Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain interactive PowerBI dashboards, reports and visualisations that align with our core product offering to clients, including custom dashboards. Develop and maintain data models within PowerBI. Implement DAX queries and calculations for improved model performance and functionality. Work with the technology team to connect the PowerBI data model to the data warehouse, ensuring security requirements are maintained. Optimise PowerBI performance for faster load times and data refresh processes. Liaise with the data and technology teams to optimise the data sources and connections. Propose alternative ideas where there is an opportunity to improve useability or performance of the embedded dashboards. Troubleshoot issues with embedded dashboards and reports. Document the data models, dashboards and reports for future reference and to ensure consistency in reporting across the organisation. Work closely with the client facing team members to understand custom client requests, and design and develop the PowerBI dashboards for clients Skills & Experience Bachelor or Masters degree in a relevant field, such as Data Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience. At least 4+ years of PowerBI experience preferably with research, consultancy or software development companies. Proven experience with DAX, Power Query, data modelling and visualization. Understanding of databases, SQL and data structures, with experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL). Experience with data warehousing and pipeline tools, knowledge of Snowflake a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data to develop PowerBI models and visualizations. Ability to work with large datasets and transform unstructured data into well-organized databases and useful reporting outputs. Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical details in a clear and concise manner to internal and external stakeholders. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Proactive and inclusive attitude to working with others across multiple teams, seniorities and geographies.

In this role, your responsibilities will include reviewing and analyzing the quarterly forecasts (QPOR) for Asia Pacific, coordinating the monthly upside/risk assessments for the business, preparing the Asia Pacific quarterly POR contingency for P&L, Asset Management, Cash Flow, Capital, and Headcount. You will also be responsible for preparing annual budgets and working closely with the SYSS Global Finance AI team in Pune to identify and drive business analytics and improved forecasting with AI tools. Your role will involve preparing quarterly management reporting, participating in Asia Pacific site financial reviews, and driving the Asia Pacific site quarterly Project reviews. You will review monthly sales recognition, project health dashboard, Product Group/BAM reporting, and work closely with countries for software reporting and project investment tracking. Additionally, you will serve as the primary financial liaison between US Business Unit Headquarters and Asia Pacific region, ensuring enforcement of Corporate Policies and Procedures within the region. You will be expected to review the appropriateness and sufficiency of business internal controls, liaise with external auditors, oversee financial processes/systems, and provide leadership, supervision, and development of the Singapore Sales Company SYSS Project Accounting team. Collaboration with cross-functional/cross-country teams, ensuring compliance with workplace safety rules, and other financial activities pertinent to the role will also be part of your responsibilities. Who You Are: You are able to identify and monitor key financial indicators, take decisive action in fast-changing situations, and remain calm under uncertainty. For this role, you will need a Degree or equivalent experience in Accountancy/CPA, 7-9 years of relevant accounting and financial management experience, proficiency with Oracle and HFM, team leadership skills, and the ability to travel approximately 10% of the time. Proven experience of initiating and implementing operational improvements is also required.
